The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The game was derived from xiangqi, and is very similar to it, including the starting position of some of the pieces, and the 9×10 gameboard, but without the xiangqi "river" dividing the board horizontally in the middle.
- Janggi is played on a board nine lines wide by ten lines long.
- The game is sometimes fast paced due to the jumping cannons and the long-range elephants, but professional games most often last over 150 moves and so are typically slower than those of Western chess.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Janggi article was read about 50,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 66 and blocks with 37: each hit it takes is cut by 15 %.
How to get Janggi
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
