The Wikipedia card game, as an app
WikiCards is a free Android trading card game where every card is a real Wikipedia article. You open packs of five cards, collect 2,991 cards across Nature, Science, History, Arts and Society, and win them in trivia duels where each question gives you 10 seconds.
Android only for now: the iPhone version is in review at Apple.
How the game works
- Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, with the article photo and a link to the source.
- Rarity is real. It follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read subjects become Epic and Legendary cards. The odds are shown in the game.
- Duel. Six of your cards face six others, against bots or a friend's deck. Each round asks a question about the opposing card and you have 10 seconds to answer.
- Earn more packs. 2 free packs a day with a reserve of 5, one more for your first win of the day, and Lore earned in duels and achievements buys extra packs.
