Wikigacha on mobile: the Wikipedia gacha as an app
Wikigacha is a web game launched in February 2026 by a Japanese studio that went viral in Japan: you pull cards generated from Wikipedia articles. The word now names a whole genre, gacha games where every card is an encyclopedia article.
WikiCards is a wikigacha built for your phone and independent of Wikigacha: a real Android app, in English and French, with packs you tear open with your finger, holo foil that follows the tilt of your phone and sounds for every rarity.
Android only for now: the iPhone version is in review at Apple.
How the WikiCards gacha works
- Every pack holds five cards, with at least one Rare or better.
- Five rarities, from Common to Legendary, based on a year of real page views. The exact odds are shown in the game.
- Every card has ATK, from the length of its article, and DEF, from its quality.
- Three free packs to start, then two a day, and extra packs from the Lore you earn in duels.
- Trivia duels with your six-card deck, against bots or your friends' decks.
