The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- It consists of narrow strips of wood which are nailed horizontally across the wall studs or ceiling joists and then coated in plaster.
- The technique derives from an earlier, more primitive process called wattle and daub.
- Lath and plaster largely fell out of favor in the US, Canada and UK by the 1930s to 1950s because of the introduction of drywall, which is less time consuming and requires less specialized training to install.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Lath and plaster article was read about 56,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 52 and blocks with 24: each hit it takes is cut by 10 %.
