The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- It is the simplest, oldest, and most widely used type of the various spatial reference systems that are in use, and forms the basis for most others.
- Although latitude and longitude form a coordinate pair like a Cartesian coordinate system, geographic coordinate systems are not Cartesian because the measurements are angles and are not on a planar surface.
- A full GCS specification, such as those listed in the EPSG and ISO 19111 standards, also includes a choice of geodetic datum, as different datums will yield different latitude and longitude values for the same location.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Geographic coordinate system article was read about 380,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 66 and blocks with 46: each hit it takes is cut by 18 %.
How to get Geographic coordinate system
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
