The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- She studied them daily in the mountain forests of Rwanda, initially encouraged to work there by paleoanthropologist Louis Leakey.
- Gorillas in the Mist, a book published two years before her death, is Fossey's account of her scientific study of the gorillas at the Karisoke Research Center and her prior career.
- It is one of the sources for a 1988 film of the same name.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Dian Fossey article was read about 660,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 81 and blocks with 99: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
