The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Operational in 1951, it was among the first digital electronic computers that operated in real-time for output, and the first that was not simply an electronic replacement of older mechanical systems.
- It was one of the first computers to calculate in bit-parallel, and was the second to use magnetic-core memory after it had been proven to work for some months of use on the Memory Test Computer.
- (The MTC received a new core stack later so that some of the work for Whirlwind could instead be done on the MTC.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Whirlwind I article was read about 16,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 70 and blocks with 58: each hit it takes is cut by 23 %.
How to get Whirlwind I
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
