The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- It is a procreation sonnet within the Fair Youth sequence.
- In the sonnet, the poet goes through a series of images of mortality, such as a clock, a withering flower, a barren tree and autumn, etc. Then, at the "turn" at the beginning of the third quatrain, the poet admits that the young man to whom the poem is addressed must go among the "wastes of time" just as all of the other images mentioned.
- The only way he can fight against Time, Shakespeare proposes, is by breeding and making a copy of himself.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Sonnet 12 article was read about 7,100 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 55 and blocks with 45: each hit it takes is cut by 18 %.
