The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Widely considered one of the greatest pitchers of all time, he played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 to 1966.
- Koufax was the first three-time winner of the Cy Young Award, each time winning unanimously and the only pitcher to do so when a single award was given for both leagues, he was also named the National League Most Valuable Player in 1963.
- Retiring at age 30 due to chronic pain in his pitching elbow, Koufax was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972 at age 36, the youngest player ever elected.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Sandy Koufax article was read about 870,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 90 and blocks with 98: each hit it takes is cut by 39 %.
