The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- In this position, named after the optician Charles F. Prentice, the prism is oriented such that light enters it at an angle of 90° to the first surface, so that the beam does not refract at that surface.
- All the deviation caused by the prism takes place at the exit surface.
- In ophthalmology, glass prisms were classically calibrated for use in the Prentice position, while plastic prisms were calibrated for use in the frontal position.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Prentice position article was read about 590 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 29 and blocks with 19: each hit it takes is cut by 8 %.
