The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Gelasius was a prolific author whose style placed him on the cusp between Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages.
- Some scholars have argued that his predecessor Felix III may have employed him to draft papal documents, although this is not certain.
- During his pontificate he called for strict Catholic orthodoxy, more assertively demanded obedience to papal authority, and, consequently, increased the tension between the Western and Eastern Churches.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Pope Gelasius I article was read about 45,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 61 and blocks with 48: each hit it takes is cut by 19 %.
