The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- These engineless aircraft were towed into the air and most of the way to their target by military transport planes, e.g., C-47 Skytrain or Dakota, or bombers relegated to secondary activities, e.g., Short Stirling.
- Most military gliders do not soar, although there were attempts to build military sailplanes as well, such as the DFS 228.
- Once released from the tow craft near the front, they were to land on any convenient open terrain close to the target, hopefully with as little damage to the cargo and crew as possible, as most landing zones were far from ideal.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Military glider article was read about 43,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 64 and blocks with 45: each hit it takes is cut by 18 %.
