The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- In principle, plain text can be in any encoding, but today usually implies UTF-8.
- Plain text is different from formatted text, where style information is included, from structured text, where structural parts of the document such as paragraphs, sections, and the like are identified, and from binary files in which some portions must be interpreted as binary objects.
- Plain text is often used as a counterpiece to "binary" files: those in which at least some parts of the file cannot be correctly interpreted as text.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Plain text article was read about 52,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 50 and blocks with 14: each hit it takes is cut by 6 %.
How to get Plain text
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
