The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The parsec unit is obtained by the use of parallax and trigonometry, and is defined as the distance at which 1 au subtends an angle of one arcsecond.
- The nearest star, Proxima Centauri, is about 1.3 parsecs from the Sun: from that distance, the gap between the Earth and the Sun spans slightly less than one arcsecond.
- Most stars visible to the naked eye are within a few hundred parsecs of the Sun, with the most distant at a few thousand parsecs, and the Andromeda Galaxy at over 700,000 parsecs.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Parsec article was read about 430,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 70 and blocks with 59: each hit it takes is cut by 24 %.
How to get Parsec
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
