The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- This blackish or brown solid occurs naturally as the mineral pyrolusite, which is the main ore of manganese and a component of manganese nodules.
- The principal use for MnO2 is for dry-cell batteries, such as the alkaline battery and the zinc–carbon battery, although it is also used for other battery chemistries such as aqueous zinc-ion batteries.
- MnO2 is also used as a pigment and as a precursor to other manganese compounds, such as potassium permanganate.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Manganese dioxide article was read about 42,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 65 and blocks with 54: each hit it takes is cut by 22 %.
