The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Polaroid Corporation pioneered consumer-friendly instant cameras and film, and were followed by various other manufacturers.
- The invention of commercially viable instant cameras which were easy to use is generally credited to Edwin Land, the inventor of the model 95 Land Camera, widely considered the first commercial instant camera, in 1948, a year after he unveiled instant film in New York City.
- In February 2008, Polaroid filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the second time and announced it would discontinue production of its instant films and cameras, shut down three manufacturing facilities, and lay off 450 workers.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Instant camera article was read about 77,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 70 and blocks with 61: each hit it takes is cut by 24 %.
