The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The member galaxies are mostly concentrated around either IC 342 or Maffei 1, which would be the brightest two galaxies in the group.
- The group is part of the Virgo Supercluster.
- However, recent studies have found that the two subgroups are unrelated, while the IC 342 group is the nearest galaxy group to the Milky Way, the Maffei 1 group is several times farther away, and is not gravitationally bound to the IC 342 group.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The IC 342/Maffei Group article was read about 5,300 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 56 and blocks with 40: each hit it takes is cut by 16 %.
