The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Bacon has been called the father of empiricism.
- He argued for the possibility of scientific knowledge based only upon inductive reasoning and careful observation of events in nature.
- He believed that science could be achieved by the use of a sceptical and methodical approach whereby scientists aim to avoid misleading themselves.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Francis Bacon article was read about 570,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 85 and blocks with 96: each hit it takes is cut by 38 %.
