The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- First published in 1914, Dubliners presents a naturalistic depiction of Irish middle-class life in and around Dublin in the early twentieth century.
- The stories were written when Irish nationalism was at its peak, and a search for a national identity and purpose was raging, at a crossroads of history and culture, Ireland was jolted by various converging ideas and influences.
- Joyce felt Irish nationalism, like Catholicism and British rule of Ireland, was responsible for a collective paralysis, a theme permeating much of the work.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Dubliners article was read about 180,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 68 and blocks with 50: each hit it takes is cut by 20 %.
