The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- A member of the first generation of born Muslims, his early life in Medina was occupied with religious pursuits.
- He held administrative and military posts under Caliph Mu'awiya I, founder of the Umayyad Caliphate, and his own father, Caliph Marwan I.
- By the time of Abd al-Malik's accession, Umayyad authority had collapsed across the Caliphate as a result of the Second Fitna and had been reconstituted in Syria and Egypt during his father's reign.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan article was read about 130,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 84 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
