The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- It was written in collaboration with his wife, Ariel Durant, and published between 1935 and 1975.
- He was earlier noted for The Story of Philosophy, described as "a groundbreaking work that helped to popularize philosophy".
- Durant conceived of philosophy as total perspective or seeing things sub specie totius, a phrase inspired by Spinoza's sub specie aeternitatis, roughly meaning "from the perspective of the eternal".
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Will Durant article was read about 120,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 69 and blocks with 52: each hit it takes is cut by 21 %.
