The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- They are the most recent addition to the Vedas, the oldest scriptures of Hinduism, and deal with meditation, philosophy, consciousness, and ontological knowledge.
- Earlier parts of the Vedas dealt with mantras, benedictions, rituals, ceremonies, and sacrifices.
- While among the most important literature in the history of Indian religions and culture, the Upanishads document a wide variety of "rites, incantations, and esoteric knowledge" departing from Vedic ritualism and interpreted in various ways in the later commentarial traditions.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Upanishads article was read about 280,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 86 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
