The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- In the late 1980s and early 1990s, McFarlane became a comic-book superstar due to his high-selling work on Marvel Comics' Spider-Man franchise, on which he was the artist to draw the first full appearances of the character Venom.
- In 1992, he helped form Image Comics, pulling the occult anti-hero character Spawn from his high-school portfolio and updating him for the 1990s.
- The debut issue sold 1.7 million copies, which, as of 2007, remains a record for an independent comic book.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Todd McFarlane article was read about 250,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 83 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
