The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Its objective was to create a salient spanning 62 miles into German territory with a bridgehead over the Nederrijn, creating an Allied invasion route into northern Germany.
- This was to be achieved by two sub-operations: seizing nine bridges with combined American, British and Polish airborne forces followed by British land forces swiftly following over the bridges.
- The airborne operation was undertaken by the First Allied Airborne Army with the land operation by the British Second Army, with XXX Corps moving up the centre supported by VIII and XII Corps on their flanks.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Operation Market Garden article was read about 670,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 95 and blocks with 96: each hit it takes is cut by 38 %.
