The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Ultimately a failure, the invasion attempts are of macro-historical importance because they set a limit on Mongol expansion and rank as nation-defining events in the history of Japan.
- The invasions are referred to in many works of fiction and are the origin of the word kamikaze, first used to describe the typhoons that destroyed the Mongol invasion fleets in the 13th century.
- The term was later adopted in the 20th century to describe Japanese pilots who deliberately crashed their aircraft into enemy warships during the last years of World War II.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Mongol invasions of Japan article was read about 280,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 77 and blocks with 91: each hit it takes is cut by 36 %.
