The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- His work is primarily characterized by smooth geometric lines, organic shapes, an absence of sharp edges, and the use of transparency and translucency.
- Newson's Lockheed Lounge chair holds the record for the highest price paid at auction for the work of a living designer.
- Design critic Alice Rawsthorn called Newson "one of the most influential designers of his generation", and fellow designer Jony Ive has described him as "fairly peerless now".
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Marc Newson article was read about 51,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 74 and blocks with 83: each hit it takes is cut by 33 %.
