The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- In cold climates these trees store starch in their trunks and roots before winter, the starch is then converted to sugar that rises in the sap in late winter and early spring.
- Maple trees are tapped by drilling holes into their trunks and collecting the sap, which is heated to evaporate much of the water, leaving the concentrated syrup.
- Maple syrup was first made by the Indigenous people of Northeastern North America.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Maple syrup article was read about 240,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 81 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
