The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The hardware was designed by a small team led by Ralph H. Baer at Sanders Associates, while Magnavox completed development and released it in the United States in September 1972, in the United Kingdom in 1973, and in other European countries in 1974.
- The Odyssey consists of a black, white, and brown oblong box that connects to a television set, and two rectangular controllers attached by wires.
- It is capable of displaying three square dots and one line of varying height on the screen in monochrome black and white, with differing behavior for the dots depending on the game played.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Magnavox Odyssey article was read about 150,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 77 and blocks with 93: each hit it takes is cut by 37 %.
How to get Magnavox Odyssey
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
