The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- He was possibly the first person to shoot a moving picture sequence using a single lens camera and a strip of film.
- He has been credited as the "Father of Cinematography" but, due to his disappearance in 1890, his work did not influence the commercial development of cinema.
- In October 1888, Le Prince filmed moving-picture sequences of family members in Leeds, in the 1888 short films Roundhay Garden Scene, and Accordion Player, using his single-lens camera and Eastman's paper negative film.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Louis Le Prince article was read about 70,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 75 and blocks with 71: each hit it takes is cut by 28 %.
