The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Having studied music from an early age, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire and won its top prize, the Prix de Rome at his first attempt, despite studies interrupted by his service in World War I. Ibert pursued a successful composing career, writing seven operas, five ballets, incidental music for plays and films, works for piano solo, choral works, and chamber music.
- He is probably best remembered for his orchestral works including Divertissement and Escales.
- As a composer, Ibert did not attach himself to any of the prevalent genres of music of his time, and has been described as an eclectic.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Jacques Ibert article was read about 14,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 61 and blocks with 48: each hit it takes is cut by 19 %.
