The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Iceland was still uninhabited long after the rest of Western Europe had been settled.
- Recorded settlement has conventionally been dated back to 874, although place names and storytelling indicate Gaelic monks from Ireland, known as papar from sagas, may have settled Iceland earlier.
- The land was settled quickly, mainly by Norwegians who may have been fleeing conflict or seeking new land to farm.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The History of Iceland article was read about 93,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 82 and blocks with 87: each hit it takes is cut by 35 %.
