The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Hundreds invested their savings in supposed Poyaisian government bonds and land certificates.
- About 250 emigrated to MacGregor's invented country in 1822–1823 to find only an untouched jungle in Honduras, more than half of them died.
- MacGregor's Poyais scheme has been called one of the most brazen confidence tricks in history.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Gregor MacGregor article was read about 130,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 86 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
