The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Gallows were thus widely used to suspend public weighing scales for large and heavy objects such as sacks of grain or minerals, usually positioned in markets or toll gates.
- The term was also used for a projecting framework from which a ship's anchor might be raised so it is no longer sitting on the seabed, riverbed or dock, "weighing [the] anchor" meant raising it using this apparatus while avoiding striking the ship's hull.
- In modern usage the term "gallows" has come to mean almost exclusively a scaffold or gibbet used for execution by hanging.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Gallows article was read about 110,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 52 and blocks with 39: each hit it takes is cut by 16 %.
