The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Their common name comes from the galls they induce on plants for larval development.
- About 1,300 species of cynipids are known worldwide, with about 360 species of 36 different genera in Europe and some 800 species in North America.
- Paraulacidae and Diplolepididae were traditionally included within the Cynipidae but have since been designated as their own families after recent phylogenetic studies.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Gall wasp article was read about 47,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 71 and blocks with 70: each hit it takes is cut by 28 %.
