The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- In the 17th to early 18th centuries the term "frigate" was loosely given to any full-rigged ship built for speed and manoeuvrability and intended for scouting, escort or patrol.
- By the second quarter of the 18th century, what is regarded as the "true frigate" was developed in France and subsequently copied by other navies.
- This type of vessel was characterised by a long sleek design with a single gun deck of 28 and 36 cannons, and an unarmed deck below used for berthing the crew.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Frigate article was read about 550,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 83 and blocks with 72: each hit it takes is cut by 29 %.
How to get Frigate
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
