The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- At its most basic form, a fishing rod is a straight rigid stick/pole with a line fastened to one end, however, modern rods are usually more elastic and generally have the line stored in a reel mounted at the rod handle, which is hand-cranked and controls the line retrieval, as well as numerous line-restricting rings that distribute bending stress along the rod and help dampening down/prevent line…
- To better entice fish, baits or lures are dressed onto the hook attached to the line, and a bite indicator is typically used, some of which might be incorporated as part of the rod itself.
- Functionally, fishing rod acts as an extended cantilever that amplifies line movement, providing the angler with a wider range of motion of line control when luring and pulling the fish.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Fishing rod article was read about 34,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 75 and blocks with 64: each hit it takes is cut by 26 %.
