The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Fish can be grouped into the more basal jawless fish and the more common jawed fish, the latter including all living cartilaginous and bony fish, as well as the extinct placoderms and acanthodians.
- Tetrapods are descended from fish, so in a break from the long tradition of grouping all fish into a single class, modern phylogenetics views fish as a paraphyletic group that includes all vertebrates except tetrapods.
- To treat fish as a monophyletic group, one would have to classify tetrapods as a clade/subgroup of specialized fish, which would make "fish" and "vertebrates" synonyms.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Fish article was read about 760,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 86 and blocks with 95: each hit it takes is cut by 38 %.
How to get Fish
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
