The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Tarō Hirai, better known by the pen name Edogawa Ranpo or Edogawa Rampo, was a Japanese author and critic who played a major role in the development of Japanese mystery and thriller fiction.
- Many of his novels involve the detective hero Kogoro Akechi, who in later books was the leader of a group of boy detectives known as the "Boy Detectives Club".
- Ranpo was an admirer of Western mystery writers, and especially of Edgar Allan Poe.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Edogawa Ranpo article was read about 90,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 71 and blocks with 39: each hit it takes is cut by 16 %.
