The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- After studying under Linnaeus at Uppsala University, he spent seven years travelling in southern Africa and Asia, collecting and describing many plants and animals new to European science, and observing local cultures.
- He has been called "the father of South African botany", "pioneer of Occidental Medicine in Japan", and the "Japanese Linnaeus".
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Carl Peter Thunberg article was read about 12,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 64 and blocks with 50: each hit it takes is cut by 20 %.
