The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- His extensive use of impressionist harmony, block chords, innovative chord voicings, and trademark rhythmically independent "singing" melodic lines continue to influence jazz pianists today.
- Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, Evans studied classical music at Southeastern Louisiana College and the Mannes School of Music, in New York City, where he majored in composition and received an artist diploma.
- In 1955, he moved to New York City, where he worked with bandleader and theorist George Russell.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Bill Evans article was read about 370,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 83 and blocks with 99: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
