The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- In July of that year, the Tang and Abbasid armies clashed at the Talas River over control of the regions surrounding the Syr Darya.
- The Tang army under Gao Xianzhi was defeated by the Abbasid army under Ziyad ibn Salih and Karluk mercenaries.
- Sources differ on whether the Karluks defected to the Abbasids or if they were Abbasid allies from the start.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Battle of Talas article was read about 120,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 79 and blocks with 85: each hit it takes is cut by 34 %.
