The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- He served as Prime Minister from independence in 1964 to 1966, when Malawi was a Dominion/Commonwealth realm.
- In 1966, the country became a republic and he became the first president as a result, ruling until his defeat in 1994.
- After receiving much of his education in ethnography, linguistics, history, and medicine overseas, Banda returned to Nyasaland to speak against colonialism and advocate for independence from the United Kingdom.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Hastings Banda article was read about 75,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 80 and blocks with 84: each hit it takes is cut by 34 %.
