The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Those who hold this title must be men and specialists in Islamic sciences such as jurisprudence and principles, often teaching in seminaries.
- The next lower rank among these clergy is Hojjatoleslam.
- Originally used as a title bestowed by popular/clerical acclaim for a small number of the most distinguished marja' at-taqlid mujtahid, it suffered from "inflation" following the 1979 Iranian Revolution when it came to be used for "any established mujtahid".
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Ayatollah article was read about 910,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 66 and blocks with 66: each hit it takes is cut by 26 %.
