The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Regarded as one of the best defenders of his era by his peers, he was one of the first to skate with the puck up the ice rather than pass it to a forward.
- He was on Stanley Cup championship teams twice in a playing career that lasted thirteen seasons, in January 1907 with the Kenora Thistles and 1908 with the Montreal Wanderers.
- Like other players of the time, Ross played for several different teams and leagues, and is noted for his time with the Wanderers while they were members of the National Hockey Association and its successor, the National Hockey League.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Art Ross article was read about 18,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 76 and blocks with 86: each hit it takes is cut by 34 %.
