The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- He was born c. 95 in Alexandria.
- After holding the senior offices in the province of Aegyptus, he went to Rome c. 120, where he practiced as an advocate, pleading cases before the emperors.
- It was in 147 at the earliest that he was appointed to the office of procurator, probably in Egypt, on the recommendation of his friend Marcus Cornelius Fronto, an influential rhetorician and advocate.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Appian article was read about 59,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 60 and blocks with 36: each hit it takes is cut by 14 %.
