The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- In 1951, while working as a physician, he was unable to save the victims of a shipwreck.
- Motivated by this experience and hoping to save future lives, he theorized that it was possible to survive at sea for an extended period by living off the ocean.
- To test his theory, Bombard decided to sail across the Atlantic in an inflatable Zodiac bringing no food and water.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Alain Bombard article was read about 8,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 54 and blocks with 31: each hit it takes is cut by 12 %.
