The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Founded by the Sassanid king Shapur I, Gondishapur first offered education and training in medicine, philosophy, theology and science.
- With a history spanning more than 1,700 years, it also included a hospital and a library.
- Since its activity was interrupted several times throughout history, Gondishapur is considered the oldest known university in terms of historical origin, while Al-Qarawiyyin in Morocco remains as the world’s oldest continuously operating university.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Academy of Gondishapur article was read about 21,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 65 and blocks with 59: each hit it takes is cut by 24 %.
