The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Launched in mid-1864, construction was suspended sometime in 1865.
- The Navy Department had specified two twin-gun turrets over Ericsson's protests, but finally agreed to delete the second turret in late 1865.
- The Navy Department evaded the Congressional refusal to order new ships in 1874 by claiming that the Civil War-era ship was being repaired while building a new monitor of the same name.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The USS Puritan article was read about 5,500 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 52 and blocks with 24: each hit it takes is cut by 10 %.
