The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Trained in her youth as a concert pianist, Thorndike turned to the stage when a medical problem with her hands ruled out a musical career.
- She began her professional acting career with the company of the actor-manager Ben Greet, with whom she toured the US from 1904 to 1908.
- In Britain she played in old and new plays on tour and in the West End, often appearing with her husband, the actor and director Lewis Casson.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Sybil Thorndike article was read about 43,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 73 and blocks with 92: each hit it takes is cut by 37 %.
