Stellar classification quiz: 3 questions
Three questions on the Stellar classification card, the way WikiCards duels ask them. Pick an answer, the facts are just below.
Find the missing word
Each line indicates a ______ chemical element or molecule, with the line strength indicating the abundance of that element.
Answer
particular. Each line indicates a particular chemical element or molecule, with the line strength indicating the abundance of that element. From the Stellar classification article on Wikipedia.
Which of these cards hits hardest (highest ATK)?
Answer
Economics. Economics 93 · Chemical element 89 · Stellar classification 86 · Astatine 83 ATK in WikiCards.
Which of these Wikipedia articles is read the most in a year?
Answer
Niels Bohr. Niels Bohr 540,000 · Economics 430,000 · Stellar classification 320,000 · Ice 240,000 Wikipedia reads over a year.
In a duel, each round asks a question like these about the opposing card, with 15 seconds to answer.
The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Electromagnetic radiation from the star is analyzed by splitting it with a prism or diffraction grating into a spectrum exhibiting the rainbow of colors interspersed with spectral lines.
- Each line indicates a particular chemical element or molecule, with the line strength indicating the abundance of that element.
- The strengths of the different spectral lines vary mainly due to the temperature of the photosphere, although in some cases there are true abundance differences.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Stellar classification article was read about 320,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 86 and blocks with 97: each hit it takes is cut by 39 %.
How to get Stellar classification
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
